Linda E. Graham

Linda E. Graham is currently a Professor in the Department of Botany at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she also serves a faculty role in the Limnology and Marine Sciences Graduate Program 
and the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, particularly the Water Resources Management graduate program. At the UW-Madison, she has taught a course on algae for many years, and is lead author of a widely used textbook, Algae, which is published by Pearson. Dr. Graham is co-author of two other textbooks in which algae are prominently described,Plant Biology 2e (Pearson) and Biology 3e (McGraw-Hill). In 2013-14 Dr. Graham will be the President of the Phycological Society of America, the algae-related scholarly organization that sponsors this webzine, which is designed to serve the general public.

About Lee W. Wilcox

Lee W. Wilcox is currently an Honorary Fellow in the Department of Botany at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned the degrees of B.S. and Ph.D. in Botany, focusing on algal structure and symbiotic relationships. Dr. Wilcox did postdoctoral work on algal molecular biology at the Ohio State University in Prof. Gary Floyd’s lab. Dr. Wilcox is a co-author of the Plant Biology andAlgae textbooks. As an expert in biological imaging and textbook composition, he is currently engaged in textbook production, and also contributes to research performed in the Graham lab.
