DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL, WARWICK, RI
The Crowne Plaza is very easy to find. It is visable from Interstate 95. If coming from the south, take I-95N exit 12, this merges onto Rt 113. The hotel can be seen on your right. Take the next right onto Greenwich Ave. The hotel's driveway will be just up the road on your right. If coming from the north, take I-95S exit 12A, this merges onto Rt 113 (you'll be heading east). From here you just continue as above.
Flying:
If you are flying into T.F. Green airport, the hotel has a shuttle. You will need to call the hotel from the courtesy phone near the baggage claim area. If you are renting a car, just take the airport connector over to I-95S. Drive south to the next set of exits and take exit 12A.
Follow driving instructions above.The hotel is only 2 or 3 miles from the airport.
If you are flying into Boston Logan airport, and are renting a car, you can take either I-93S (Southeast Express Way) until you get to I-95S. OR you can take I-90W (Massachusetts Turnpike) until you get to I-95S. Once on 95S just keep driving until you get to exit 12A in Rhode Island and then follow the driving directions as above. The driving time with light to moderate traffic is a little more than an hour from Logan to the hotel. If you don't want to rent a car, there is a bus line that has a route from Logan Airport to T.F Green Airport. The bus line is Peter Pan (formally Bonanza). The T.F. Green route is not on their web site so you will need to call (888-751-8800) to get schedule that most closely matches your needs.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island is located minutes south of downtown Providence and 2 miles from Providence T.F. Green Airport. The hotel has complimentary airport shuttle service to and from T.F. Green Airport.

However, remember that you MUST identify yourself with the PSA/ISOP meeting in order to receive the reduced rate. This can be done either by phoning the hotel directly (877-227-6963) or booking via the internet using the above URL. If you use the internet you must use the Group Code “PSA” (without the quotes) to receive the reduced rate. Lunches: Although there are numerous lunch options within a short driving distance of the hotel, there are none in reasonable walking distance. The hotel restaurant will be available for lunch but in order to reduce waiting times there for people who do not have access to cars special lunches can be purchased in advance via the meeting registration web site. These will cost $17.50 each with a different option each day: PSA member students and post docs will be treated to lunch on Tuesday as part of a student/post doc meeting (so these PSA members should not pre-pay for lunch on Tuesday). ISOP will have its business meeting at a luncheon on Wednesday at a cost of $23.50 per person.
The “optional” lunches are served with dessert and coffee and tea. There will be a vegetarian option available each day
Monday: Antipasto Salad & Pizza
Small Antipasto Salad with Pizzeria Uno Individual 7” Deep Dish Pizza (choice of cheese or pepperoni)
Tuesday: New York Deli Plate
Deli Style Roast Beef, Ham, Turkey, Swiss and American Cheeses on a Kaiser Roll; Marinated Garden Vegetables and Potato Salad
Wednesday: Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad
Grilled Marinated Chicken served with Fresh Soy Ginger Sauce and Mandarin Oranges over Chinese Noodles, Rolls and Butter.
Thursday: Croissant Creation
Choice of Turkey and Provolone, Ham and American Cheese, or Roast Beef and Swiss, Sliced Fresh Fruit, Rotini Pasta Salad.

Hotel can be seen on your right. Take the next right on Greenwich Ave and the Hotel’s driveway is just ahead on the right. If coming from the north, take I-95S exit 12A. Take a right onto Rt 113 at the end of the ramp and continue as above.
Activities for guests: There are no organized field trips for guests; however, there are several attractions within easy driving distance. There is a collection of historical mansions in scenic Newport, Rhode Island (for times and ticket prices see http://www.newportmansions.org). Could be a nice trip to see how some of our more famous phycologists could have lived if they had chosen a different profession.
Just across the Rhode Island-Connecticut border (about a 30 min drive south on I-95) are Mystic Aquarium (http://www.mysticaquarium.org/). Take Interstate 95 south to exit 90 and follow the signs to Mystic Aquarium. The same exit gets you to historic Mystic Seaport (http://www.mysticseaport.org/). Take Exit 90 off I-95. Turn left at end of ramp onto Route 27 South. Proceed approximately one mile. Parking for Mystic Seaport is on the left.
